We have an exciting opportunity for a Group FP&A Manager, who will support the Head of Group FP&A in delivering the Group’s financial planning processes; identifying and driving improvements in business performance; and proactively business partnering other Group functions. You will be an effective team player but have the confidence and ability to work independently, taking full ownership of key processes.
 

As the successful candidate, you will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification) with a proven track record of financial planning in a fast-paced multi-site business. You will be able to demonstrate excellent Excel and financial modelling skills along with strong commercial acumen and very high attention to detail. You will have strong business partnering skills; the ability to provide strategic, analytical and operational support coupled with the energy and drive to investigate, identify and pursue opportunities for business performance improvement.


What you'll do...

  • Support the delivery of the 3 year financial plan, annual Group budget, period reforecast and capital reporting processes. Develop and maintain robust financial models in support of these processes.
     
  • Co-ordinate and report risks and opportunities to forecasts and budgets.
     
  • Provide analysis that understands and proactively addresses the commercial needs of the business; analyse KPIs against internal and external targets and benchmarks, identify opportunities to improve profit, asset utilisation and cash generation.
     
  • Proactive business partner to other Group functions, including: Investor Relations; Financial Reporting; Treasury; Group Commercial; Procurement.
     
  • Ownership of group impairment testing, and the financial models and supporting documentation for viability statement and going concern compliance activities.
     
  • Provide input to strategic planning, assessment of investments and prioritising capital allocation.
     
  • Support the capital approval process, ensuring that expenditure requests are appropriately reviewed, interrogated and recorded.
     
  • Undertake benchmarking of the Group’s performance versus its peers.
     
  • Provide ad-hoc decision-support and insight.
