National Express are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Revenue & Business Analyst who wants to support a growing revenue team in reaching its objectives. The successful candidate must also possess the technical skills needed to manipulate and analyse data paired with the commercial awareness to translate this into actions.

This is a role that will see you interfacing with a number of teams across our Commercial function and across the business including Marketing, PR, Digital, Pricing and Finance– you will need to have good interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.

What you'll do:

  • First point of contact for Revenue / Business  Modelling and Analysis
  • Implement / shape  automation efficiency via Dashboard Development , linked to Revenue , across the business
  • Forecasting and Budgeting Principles development - help shape and improve our business forecasting and planning 
  • Challenge the business with weekly, monthly reporting and analysis as well as forecasting and driving continuous improvement 
  • Analytical/Business reporting – providing both structured and ad-hoc MI
  • Support the development of in year and pipeline revenue initiatives
  • Regular analysis of KPI’s linked to business recommendations
  • Carry out pre-negotiation research to prepare reporting for use during the negotiation process with LTA, CA and DfT
  • Completion of weekly reporting and quarterly performance presentations to the Commercial management team including recommendations to drive revenue improvements.
  • Research / Data Analysis: produce accurate and auditable models and business cases that answer strategic commercial questions
  • Utilise various data sources to identify forecast discrepancies and to improve accuracy.

What you'll need:

  • Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, Computer Science)
  • Experience in consulting, strategy, advisory role, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in communicating with various stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Exposure to any other BI reporting tools, such as Tableau would be highly advantageous.
