Driver Training Instructor

National Express Transport Solutions have a fantastic opportunity to join our Training Team as a Driver Training Instructor, based in Fareham at Lucketts Travel. You will support new and existing drivers’ development through delivery of courses and other training support. 

Primarily you will be delivering training to trainee coach drivers, supporting them to obtain their Category D Licence in order to be successful Coach Drivers across the South and South East Regions. 

We are looking for a safety minded individual who has a flexible attitude towards working hours and working style, taking ownership and responsibility for delivering all aspects of the licence acquisition and skills training for the NETS Operations. You’ll work with the team and assist management with all driver programs to ensure all schedules and calendars meet customer requirements and maximise all available resources and technology.

What you'll do...

• Work within the driver development team delivering a variety of courses and training 
• Development interventions to trainee and existing drivers
• Effectively deliver training in compliance with legislation and internal standards, providing role model performance in respect of adherence to policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain standards for all candidates whether internal or external
• Work safely at all times, complying with safe systems of work and ensuring trainee’s do the same
• You will be required to travel across all brands within National Express Transport Solutions 

What you’ll need…

• Hold a valid UK PCV Licence for a minimum of 3 years
• Experience in PCV driver instruction training 
• 5.7 RoSPA Gold qualification is desirable 
• Outstanding communication skills
• To be organised, flexible and adaptable 
• A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to solve problems on own initiative
