We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Training Team as a Driver Training Instructor, based in Perry Barr. Working a 38 hour week, any 5 days from 7 across our Birmingham Garages, you will support new and existing drivers’ development through delivery of courses and other training support. 

As a Driver Training Instructor, you will be responsible for effectively delivering all aspects of the licence acquisition and skills training within National Express. To ensure all standards of delivery and legislation are adhered to across the entire network and ensure Operations receive best practise processes.

What you'll do...

  • To deliver PCV Licence acquisition training, core skills, development / refresher and CPC training under the competency management system and legislation
  • Delivering service reliability and quality defined standards to internal / external customers ensuring improvements are monitored.
  • To maintain CPC training status for all relevant programs and centres
  • Delivery and Audit all processes ensuring best practise for standards on all courses and legislation is delivered
  •  Work to implement the company’s policies and procedures, ensuring formatted delivery and legislative adherence.

What you’ll need:

  • Must hold a valid PCV licence
  • Have an excellent understanding of the industry sector and current legislation
  • Strong communication and presenting skills
  • NVQ Level 2 Road Passenger Transport
  • Relevant training qualifications for standard delivery PTTLS 7303, GTC, PTC or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 In Driving Instruction
