We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Manager, based within the Midlands region. You will be responsible for building new partnerships and relationships with cross sector businesses and organisations in the public and private sectors and deliver bespoke and off-the-shelf transport solutions, working to increase bus travel patronage by engaging with existing and prospective clients to establish their specific travel needs via National Express channels: Workplace Travel Scheme (Digital product platforms), on-demand services, shuttle services and private hire.


What you'll do...

 

  • Proactively creating new business and retaining current business relationships via effective outreach strategies.
  • Working to predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) aimed to ensure the business demands are exceeded. This includes building and effectively managing a sales pipeline.
  • Creating sales and marketing strategies to drive new business acquisition and driving long term business objectives by building commercial opportunities.
  • Conducting regular business meetings to develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders and place the business accordingly for future opportunities.
  • Investigating and enhancing opportunities from your network to drive revenue and patronage growth.
  • Remaining up-to-date in understanding competitor’s activity and offerings.
  • Cold call to arrange meetings with potential clients to prospect for new partnership business opportunities.
  • Ability to present the product favourably and in a structured professional way via face-to-face and online presentations. This will also include ‘bus travel clinics’ to selected clients and attendance at trade shows and industry events.

 

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • Prior experience within the transport sector is preferred but not essential. Transferrable skills, building partnerships and a passion for sustainable transport are essential.
  • Previous experience working in a commercial role is essential.
  • Experience of using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders building meaningful, long lasting relationships.
  • Full UK driving license with your own car and happy to travel for business meetings is desired but not essential. Alternatively, willingness to travel by bus (a free bus pass will be provided).
