Engineering Projects Manager

In this role, you will bridge the gap between long term business strategy and ground level operational activity. Whether you are overseeing depot transitions, driving safety culture, or managing high level engineering programmes, you will be the key driver of efficiency and consistency across the business. What you will do
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Coordinate the delivery of engineering projects that align with our long term business goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive Depot Excellence: Lead ground level implementation of initiatives across depots, including vehicle presentation, trim, and paint programmes.
- Champion Safety: Support a robust safety culture by conducting workplace inspections, reviewing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and deploying safety communications.
- Standardize Operations: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tool Box Talk (TBT) materials to ensure consistent communication of standards.
- Manage Assets & Transitions: Oversee engineering asset registers and provide expert support for depot closures, new setups, and relocations.
- Develop Our People: Work with operational teams to support technician upskilling, training pathways, and technical competence frameworks.
- Support the Director: Provide structured leadership for key engineering programmes and assist the Engineering Director with critical business case developments and bids.
