National Express Bus is looking for a Marketing & Customer Experience Assistant who’s ready to bring ideas, energy and creativity to our digital channels. If you love crafting content, spotting trends, improving customer journeys and keeping people informed in a fast‑moving environment, this role puts you right at the heart of how we show up for our passengers every day.
You’ll support our Marketing and Customer Experience team across social, digital, content, insights and partnerships, helping us deliver campaigns, improve our online presence and keep our customers inspired, informed and connected.
This full time role is based at NX House 3 days per week.
What you’ll do
Run our day‑to‑day organic social content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, from planning the content calendar to creating assets in Canva and writing engaging posts and blogs.
Keep an eye on trends and bring fresh ideas that help our channels stay relevant and scroll‑stopping.
Track performance and produce weekly and monthly reports that help shape our strategy.
Support marketing projects end‑to‑end, working closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver campaigns on time.
Help keep customers informed by supporting service updates, timetable changes and on‑bus communications.
Build and update website content, working with the Digital Team to improve the online customer experience.
Protect the National Express Bus brand by ensuring everything we publish is consistent and on‑brand.
Gather customer insights through surveys and ad‑hoc research to help us understand what passengers really think.
Build partnerships with stakeholders and local attractions to add value for our customers.
Support wider Customer Experience and Marketing activities whenever needed.
What you’ll bring
Proven relevant experience in a similar role or educated to degree level
Curiosity, self‑motivation and confidence working independently.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Good analytical skills and a head for numbers.
Great organisation and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Confident using Microsoft Office and Google tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel to other sites within the West Midlands when required.
